Write your guide to setting healthy boundaries in relationships.

Say no as much as you can.

Tell the truth, but try to do it without being a jerk.

Leave if they repeatedly can’t handle your no or your truth.

End up alone, but only for a little while.

Out in that wilderness, you calibrate your values and refine your strategies.

You become a searchlight. Others seek the integrity your boundaries offer, and find refuge there.

Keep saying no and telling the truth and send some of those folks on their way.

Until you take an improv class, where you have to relentlessly say yes, but it’s okay when it’s just for play.
